My group primarily focuses on the development of AI and Deep learning algorithms in imaging domain that go beyond the traditional computer vision. We develop machine leaning algorithms that learn from medical, biomedical and microscopy images to directly address the critical clinical problems, and drive meaningful impacts on healthcare. In addition, we work on the knowledge representation across multi-modal data including imaging, text, and video for multi-modal AI algorithms development. Our research aims for advancing robustness, trustworthy, and clinical reliability of AI methods in close collaboration with experts in medicine and biomedical engineering.
