Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 6, 2026
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MeghanBytesSoftwares ("we," "us," "our") handles information in connection with Vital (the "App").
The short version
Vital works entirely offline. Your health data — blood sugar, weight, blood pressure, and medication information — is stored only on your device. We do not operate a backend server, we do not have accounts, and we never receive, see, or store a copy of your health data. The App shows non-intrusive, non-personalized ads (including native-style ad cards on Home and History) to stay free, and those ads are never targeted using your health information.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect your health data. Blood sugar readings, weight, blood pressure, medication names/doses/schedules, and adherence records are stored exclusively in local storage on your device. They are never transmitted to us, because we have no server for them to be transmitted to.
We (or our service providers, as described below) collect only:
Information the advertising network collects
To serve ads, our ad partner, Google AdMob, may collect limited technical information such as your device's advertising identifier (if you have not limited it), general device type, operating system version, approximate location derived from IP address, and which ads were shown or clicked. This is standard ad-delivery information and does not include anything you've entered into the App — the ad SDK operates independently of, and has no access to, your logging data.
Ads are served on a non-personalized, contextual basis. We do not configure our ad partner to build a behavioral profile of you or to target ads based on health status, conditions, or anything you log in the App.
On iOS, if the ad network requests tracking permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, you'll see that system prompt and can decline it; declining does not affect your ability to use the App.
You can generally reset or limit your device's advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.
Basic crash/diagnostic data
We may use a crash-reporting tool to receive anonymized technical crash reports (e.g., which screen crashed, device model, OS version) to help us fix bugs. These reports are not linked to your health data and do not include the content of your entries.
2. How we use information
To serve non-intrusive, non-personalized ads that keep the App free.
To diagnose and fix technical problems (crash reports only).
We do not use any information we or our partners collect to build a profile of your health status, and we do not sell personal information of any kind.
3. Advertising details
Ad format: non-personalized banner and native ad cards. No interstitials, no video, no rewarded ads.
Placement: ads may appear on Home and secondary screens (e.g., History) — never on the Add Entry flow or the medication reminder experience.
Targeting: non-personalized/contextual. Your health entries are never used as ad-targeting signals, and never could be, since they never leave your device.
Our ad partner: Google AdMob. You can review Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and AdMob's data disclosure at https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543 for full detail on what they collect and how to opt out of interest-based advertising (e.g., via your device's ad settings or https://adssettings.google.com).
4. Where your data lives
Data
Where it's stored
Health entries (blood sugar, weight, BP, medications, adherence)
On your device only — never transmitted anywhere
Ad delivery identifiers
Held by Google AdMob, per their own retention practices
Crash reports
Held by our crash-reporting provider, anonymized
We do not have a database of user health information, because we don't operate a backend to put one in.
5. Your rights and choices
Access and export: all of your data lives on your device; you can view or export it from within the App at any time.
Deletion: delete individual entries anytime from within the App. Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data permanently (unless preserved by your device's own backup system, which we don't control).
Ad opt-outs: limit ad tracking through your device's system settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS/"Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android), or decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt if shown.
If you are in the EU/UK/EEA: because we don't collect or process your health data at all, most GDPR data-subject rights (access, erasure, portability) are naturally already satisfied — that data has only ever been on your device. For the limited ad-related and crash-diagnostic data described above, you can exercise applicable rights by contacting us or your device's ad settings.
If you are a California resident: we do not sell personal information. Ad-delivery data handled by our ad partner is governed by their own CCPA/CPRA disclosures, linked above.
6. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent where you live). Our advertising is configured to avoid child-directed treatment; if you believe a child has used the App and information was collected inappropriately by our ad partner, contact us at support@meghanbytes.com.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we change advertising partners or introduce new features. We'll notify you of material changes through the App before they take effect.

What's deleted: All health data (blood sugar, weight, blood pressure, medications, and adherence history) stored on your device.
