On 14 February 2018, Imman took to Twitter saying that he was officially announced a part of the project,[14] while marking his first collaboration with Ajith and Siva.[15] Soon after his inclusion, Imman started working on the film's music, with two songs were completed before March 2018,[16][17] after which film production works were halted due to Tamil Film Producers Council strike against the digital service providers over Virtual Print Fee (VPF) hike.[18] After production being started, shooting for the two songs were held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad: with one of them reported to be a "mass number" and a montage track.[19] In September 2018, Imman revealed that four songs and a theme music will be included in the soundtrack,[20][21] but he had completed five songs during that November.[22] Lyricist Viveka joined the team in November, saying that he had written a kuthu song (titled "Adchithooku")[23] and a melody track (titled "Vaaney Vaaney"), which is a "heart-touching number" and will be reportedly used as a montage in the film.[22] Sid Sriram performed the song "Kannana Kanne" in his second collaboration with Imman after "Kurumba" from Tik Tik Tik (2018). Grammy Award-winning instrumentalist Praksh Sontakke performed slide guitar for the instrumental version of this song.[24] The audio rights were purchased by Lahari Music.[25][26]

In response to the request of Ajith Kumar's fans, the makers released a single track from the film on 10 December 2018,[28] titled "Adichuthooku" which was sung by the composer D. Imman, Aditya Gadhvi and Narayanan, with lyrics written by Viveka.[29] The Indian Express stated that "The song is filled with catchy phrases, which talks about the innate valor of Maduraikaran (a native of Madurai)".[30] The second single "Vettikattu" sung by Shankar Mahadevan and lyrics written by Yugabharathi,[31] was released on 15 December 2018.[32] Lahari Music released the audio of Viswasam in YouTube and the music streaming platform Gaana which distributed the album online.[33][24] After the album release, Imman revealed that a rustic folk number (later deciphered as "Thalle Thillalley") sung by Anthony Daasan and lyrics by Arun Bharathi was released on 20 December 2018.[34]

The album received mixed reviews from music critics. Behindwoods rated the album 2.75 out of 5 stars, stating that "Imman delivers a perfect mix of mass and melodies".[39] Surendhar MK of Firstpost stated the album as "partly enjoyable and middling" and further went on to say "It is definitely a missed opportunity for Imman, who is long known for his dependable, foolproof albums of rural entertainers" and the "weakest album compared to Siva and Ajith's previous films Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam".[39] Thinkal Menon of The Times of India, reviewed that "The album, overall, is an above average fare which might go well with the visuals. Most of the songs in the album bring out a festival mood, thanks to their pace and rhythm."[40] Moviecrow wrote "Imman's soundtrack for Viswasam is an out and out surprise feast. With mass numbers and interesting duets that effortlessly balances the aura of star, class and quality, the combo of Siva and Ajith along with Imman, wipes off all the negative vibes that their repeated collaboration got."[41] The album has been streamed by more than 500 million times in music streaming platforms as of March 2020, thus becoming one of the most Tamil streamed album.[42][43] As of November 2020, the album has more than half-a-billion views in YouTube.[44]

A visually challenged youngster going by the name of Thirumoorthy had gone viral on TikTok and YouTube earlier this year, when a video of him singing Kannana Kanne from the Ajith-Nayanthara film Viswasam did the rounds. The original song was rendered by Sid Sriram, and is a father-daughter bonding number, which was a huge hit.

Good Day Everyone! Immense Joy to Introduce thambi #NochipattiThirumoorthy as a Playback singer in my next upcoming release #Seeru with @JiivaOfficial in the lead! Directed by @rathinasiva7 Produced by @VelsFilmIntl Lyric by Parvathy! A soulful song coming your way! Praise God! pic.twitter.com/A5V6vNmsXh

The song seems to be designed to show off a few interesting elements of Thooku Durai's character. There's a fun angle as much as the sturdy man he is. The synths used are symbolic of the fun, while the bulky beats and the lyrics give us an idea that he's a man of the punch. D Imman has a unique bass voice that could be used in different dynamics and he does that in style with this song. The beats are strong and they don't let us rest our legs. The composition and usage of tones stay within his limits, making us want something we haven't heard a lot of. However, the energy of the song can guarantee a blast in the theatre!

 Vetti Kattu

 Vocals: Shankar Mahadevan

 Lyrics: Yugabharathi

A very powerful folk track for Thala Ajith's introduction is what Vetti Kattu. Imman's arrangements have always been praiseworthy. This track has its guitar section sorted, bringing in the strength for the massy song. The whistle has also been used effectively. Shankar Mahadevan has a robust voice and a hell a lot of talent, making it easy for him to ace anything thrown at him. Imman has infused his typical elements and has made up a pakka theater song. This one will have the fans on their feet!

The first thing we would notice about this haunting melody is Thamarai's lyrics that are beautiful and fall right into Imman's notes. Lately, it seems as though Sid Sriram is thought of, as soon as a music director knows he's given his best shot for a track. The same goes with Kannana Kanney. This is a melody with grand instrumentation that backs Sid's rendition very well. Usually, we would find Imman's stamp seeping through every note of his melody. But this one is very different and the classical angle brings in a great deal of power to the song.

 Vaaney Vaaney

 Vocals: Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal

 Lyrics: Viveka

Vaaney Vaaney is a household anthem that speaks about the relationship between the husband and the wife. D Imman has brought in two of India's finest singers Hariharan and Shreya Ghoshal to croon this track and without doubt, their work is flawless. The rhythm and string arrangement is an attraction. However, the composition falls into Imman's usual pattern and limitations. But the song shows promise to be an interesting addition to the story.

 Danga Danga

 Vocals: Senthil Ganesh, Rajalakshmi

 Lyrics: Arun Bharathi

The trending couple Senthil Ganesh and Rajalakshmi have already sung hit songs and are having a dream run. Danga Danga falls right in their strong zone. This is a template Imman folk number with mighty beats. Yet again, a song that would trigger theater moments and bring the fans to their feet.

 Rise Up Theme

Vocals: Shenbagaraj, Narayanan, Saisharan, Vignesh Narayanan, Sarath Santhosh, Jithinraj

 Lyrics: Siva

The orchestration is interestingly arranged and Imman has used the many tones that add the rural flavor. The track is rather intimidating and adds to Ajith's compelling strength. Director Siva has penned the lyrics for the song and much like Vivegam, he has done a fairly impressive job of it. 2351a5e196
