Visu has been making an annual pilgrimage to Banaras for the past 30 years, especially during Kartik Purnima.
This festival, celebrated on the full moon day of Kartika, holds immense spiritual significance. Devotees bathe in the holy rivers, light oil lamps (diyas), and offer prayers to receive divine blessings. The energy of this day is believed to be enhanced by the alignment of the Sun and Moon.
Visu's devotion to the sacred city of Banaras has led him to not only visit every year but also to author a book, கங்கை சொல்லும் பாடம் (Reflections from Ganga), which is released in 2025 during the Kumbh Mela, reflecting his deep spiritual connection.

One of the highlights of Haridwar is the holy dip in the Ganges, which Visu has taken every year for the past 30 years.

Rishikesh, known as the "World Capital of Yoga," is a peaceful town where the Ganges flows from the Himalayas.
Each year, Visu visits this sacred destination to rejuvenate his spirit. He usually stays at the Sivananda Ashram, located near the famous Ram Jhula.
