Ano gid bala ang pangabuhi nga Buo Ang pamilya? Ano gid bala sa baratyagon nga may NANAY sa sulod ka panimalay?
Back when I was a child I can vividly remember how painful it is to saw tatay cried silently every night and to tell "OKAY LANG AKO" even he wasn't okay, I cannot imagined just by a single man to carry with him the burden of being a broken family just to carry the responsibilities by having 6 children and just to provide the things that we need.
I grew up with my tatay who made me realized that life may get tough, but you have to be tougher.

Embracing My Journey"
Every moment captured reflects a chapter of my life—full of dreams, growth, and self-discovery. In this photo, I see not just the person I am today, but the journey it took to get here. It’s a reminder that despite the challenges, I’ve learned to rise and flourish.
There were times when self-doubt clouded my path, and moments when I questioned my potential. But each step, whether big or small, became a victory—reminding me that progress isn't always about how fast I move, but about having the courage to keep going.
Like a flower blooming in its own time, I’ve come to realize that growth is a deeply personal journey. It’s about embracing the process, loving myself through the highs and lows, and holding on to the dreams that fuel my spirit.
This image is a testament to the strength I’ve built, the confidence I’ve nurtured, and the beauty of becoming my truest self. I am both a work in progress and a masterpiece—constantly evolving, yet proud of who I am right now.
Let this serve as an inspiration not only for myself but for anyone who feels like their journey is filled with uncertainties. Embrace the unknown, trust your path, and always remember: you are exactly where you need to be.

I've been balancing my life the whole time and it's not that easy. I am a student and at the same time a mother and a wife. My time and my focus was always divided. At the age of nineteen I became married and give birth to my beautiful baby boy. It's hard to do the things i have to do at the same time. I have to be a good student, a good mother and a good wife.
Because of my situation I become stronger and wiser. Even people would look down on me, I still have that courage not to give up on my dreams. I never thought of giving up because I know God is always with me and fights for me. I always keep in my mind that whenever I feel heavy and tired, maybe it's not mine to carry but His.

Living in a poor family and raised by my lolo which is the mangingisda, the punches of life will test you so many times. My life was shaped by the sacrifices of my grandfather, a humble mangingisda, who worked tirelessly to support my education. Growing up, life has never been easy and I learned early a harsh reality of poverty. My lolo always instilled me the importance of education as a path to a better life. My parents are unemployed and two of my brothers who had to drop out of school due to financial struggles. I was determined to make the most of opportunity, even my grandfather’s health declined.
There were many moments of hardship I encountered and considered quitting school, especially as I struggled with minimal allowances and witnessed my parents' desperation, I saw my nanay went out and asked many people to borrow money it was painful seeing her since not single one was willing to help us. Yet, I never lost sight for my dream, motivated by my grandfather’s words and my own resolve. As a third-year tourism student, I excelled in my studies, grateful for the education that my family worked so hard to provide, even when the situation seemed hopeless.
These story I'm sharing is a message to everyone that poverty is not a hindrance for us to success, EDUCATION is an option. If we give importance and value the Education we can fight against the poverty. Do not be afraid to take those risk and face the struggles, it's normal. Always remember your dreams and to never give up. Life has its own twist and turns. Be that someone who dreams big, a someone that believes that no matter where you come from or how little you have, you can reach for the stars. If I can, I know you can too. Padayun!

As a student-athlete, balancing schoolwork and evening training can be tough. After a full day of classes, I head to practice, pushing my limits and working hard to improve. The late nights walking home, tired but proud of the effort, remind me that success doesn't come easy. But I know that every drop of sweat and every late night is bringing me closer to my goals. And even when it feels exhausting, I remind myself, "The pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tomorrow."

As a simple girl with big dreams, life can feel like a juggling act. Every morning, I wake up early to prepare for school, squeezing in time to study before class. Between homework, helping my family, and keeping up with friends, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But no matter how busy life gets, I remind myself of my goals—one day, I’ll be successful and make my family proud.
There are days when it feels like I’m running in place, making no progress. But deep down, I know that every small step counts. Whether it's staying up late to finish an assignment or taking on part-time jobs to help with expenses, I see each challenge as an opportunity to grow. I may not be where I want to be yet, but with hard work and determination, I know I’ll get there. Every sacrifice today is an investment in the future, and one day, I’ll look back and realize that all the struggle was worth it.

I’ve always been a storyteller, but this time, the story is about me. It’s a story of growth and resilience.
I grew up in a large family, with 12 siblings, 8 brothers and 4 sisters. My mother worked tirelessly in our municipality back then, while my father made statues. Life wasn't easy, we were poor. But through the hard work and perseverance of my parents, and the help of my aunts, we managed to overcome our poverty and my siblings were able to finish their studies. Now, they all have their own jobs and many of them are professionals. Only four of us siblings are still studying. As a student at the University of Antique, And I'm taking up a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, I enrolled in this Course because I aspire that someday I will be able to work, earn an income, help my family and likewise travel internationally or travel abroad. With determination, hard work and God's blessings, I know that this dream of mine will become a reality.
I am going to make my life better by accomplishing my goal through studying hard until graduation, finding a good job and working on my dreams to come true.

When I was eight years old, I went to the airport with my mom. I was amazed by the planes landing and taking off. It was near my aunt’s house, and I heard the planes all the time. That’s when I started dreaming of flying and seeing the world.
Years passed, and my dreams grew stronger. As a senior in high school, I chose the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) track because it aligned with my aspirations to pursue a career in tourism. I yearned to share the magic of travel, to connect people with the world's wonders.
College, however, presented a different kind of challenge. The pandemic had thrown the world into disarray, and navigating the campus with vaccine requirement,(2022)and financial instability felt hopeless situation. I was forced to make a difficult decision: to leave college and find job to help my family.
But my parents, unwavering in their belief in the power of education, encouraged me to stay. "We'll find a way," they promised, their voices filled with hope. And then, a ray of light appeared. My aunt, who had witnessed my dedication and determination, stepped in too help with my finances. She understood the value of education, just as my parents did, and she wanted me to reach my full potential.
And then, a miracle happened. God, in His infinite wisdom, paved the way for un-vaccinated students were allowed to return to school. With renewed hope and a heart filled with gratitude, I was able to continue my studies. I enrolled in my first-choice course: Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. The path ahead was still challenging, but I knew that with the support of my family and the unwavering belief in myself, I could achieve my dreams.

I am a simple girl who enjoys the little things in life. I love spending time outdoors, taking walks, and playing online games. I value close relationships with friends and family and appreciate home-cooked meals and good conversations. Being honest and kind is important to me. My goals focus on personal growth and happiness rather than wealth. I believe a good life comes from love, simplicity, and meaningful experiences.

As an individual trying to survive, each one of us has our own reason for dreaming, living, and fighting. For me, one of the reasons why I am here is my family. They are the most important thing for me. There's no such perfect family but being contented in the way they can provide and being with each other despite the fights and circumstances inspires me to remain strong. I may be weak but here I am standing still, fighting every challenges in life for them.
Year 2024 was really hard for us because my mom got hospitalized, my sister and I had a misunderstanding up to the point that we don't talk anymore. What’s more challenging is that my younger sister needs to stop her study because we don't have enough money to support her anymore. With God’s grace, we surpassed all of that and I must say we are in a better state now.
Life is really full of surprises, today it showers us blessings, the next morning, it’s throwing us challenges, but will all that pain that comes from fighting every challenge, is a life lessons for us to reflect, be better and will certainly mold us to become more valorous as we go along the way aiming for what we deserve.

Hi to all of you! I'm Chary Toyo, 20 years of age ,a third year student pursuing a bachelor of science in tourism management. I was born in Sagua anini-y and i grew up in Igdalaquit, Sibalom, Antique. I am the kind of person who believes deeply in the power of kindness and respect. For me, kindness is not just about doing good deeds, but about how I approach the world and the people in it. I make a conscious effort to listen attentively, offer help when needed, and treat others with empathy and understanding. Small acts of kindness, like offering a smile or a kind word, can uplift someone’s day and make a meaningful difference in their lives.
