Hello I'm Nathan Do.
I first began experiencing symptoms of Visual Snow Syndrome at just six years old. Not understanding my concerns, an Optometrist concluded that I was lying about my vision, as some children do.
I remained undiagnosed for over a decade, silently living with the constant ‘visual noise’. Nobody could tell me what was wrong, nobody could understand what I was seeing. The lack of awareness left me feeling helpless and alone.
Through Visual Snow Australia - my little passion project - I hope to change that.
I am currently undertaking a Master of Clinical Optometry at the University of New South Wales. My goal is to build a supportive community for those affected by Visual Snow Syndrome in Australia and, ultimately, lead a dedicated research project as part of my final year in 2026.
