If you want a dedicated wireless audio solution with active noise cancellation and long battery life for mobile gaming, choose Visual Land Soundwave A1; if you need to protect your existing Apple AirPods Max from scratches and sweat while maintaining their premium feel, choose Maxjoy AirPods Max Case. These two items serve fundamentally different purposes in your tech ecosystem, and confusing one for the other would be a costly mistake. One is a complete listening device designed to replace your current earbuds, while the other is an accessory intended solely to shield a high-end headphone you already own.
• Visual Land Soundwave A1: Delivers 40 hours of total playtime with fast charging and six-microphone active noise cancellation, but requires you to carry a separate case for storage when not in use.
• Maxjoy AirPods Max Case: Offers comprehensive protection against drops, dust, and sweat using soft silicone and clear TPU materials, but provides no audio functionality on its own.
• Best For: The Visual Land unit is the clear winner for anyone needing a primary audio source for gaming or travel, whereas the Maxjoy cover is strictly for owners of Apple's over-ear headphones looking to extend the lifespan of their gear.
The Visual Land Soundwave A1 is engineered as a standalone entertainment hub, specifically targeting users who demand mobility without sacrificing audio fidelity. At its core, this is a set of in-ear buds that prioritizes immersion through its 6-microphone Active Noise Cancellation system. This feature allows you to dial down ambient noise significantly, which is critical when trying to hear subtle footsteps in a competitive shooter or focus on dialogue during a story-driven adventure. The ability to switch off the noise cancellation or engage transparent mode adds a layer of safety and versatility that many gamers overlook until they are in a busy environment.
Battery anxiety is a real issue for mobile gamers who might be in the middle of a long session or a commute. The Soundwave A1 addresses this head-on with a claimed 40-hour total playtime. This figure includes the time spent inside the charging case, meaning you can go days without hunting for a wall outlet. Even more impressive is the fast-charging capability; just 15 minutes of charging yields up to 5 hours of playtime. If you forget to charge your buds before heading out, a quick coffee break while plugging them into a USB-C cable is enough to get you through a significant portion of your day.
The design focuses heavily on durability and comfort for extended wear. With an IPX5 water-resistance rating, these earbuds are built to handle the rigors of exercise, running, or sweaty gaming sessions without failing. The package includes three different ear tip sizes, ensuring a secure fit that prevents them from falling out during intense movement. The touch controls allow you to navigate media and calls effortlessly, keeping your hands free for controllers or keyboards. However, potential buyers should note that the enclosure material is plastic, which makes it lightweight but perhaps less "premium" feeling than metal alternatives. You are getting a functional, rugged tool rather than a luxury status symbol.

This product is ideal for the gamer who needs a reliable, all-in-one audio experience that can handle sweat, last all day, and block out the distractions of a noisy household. It is also perfect for commuters who want to isolate themselves on a bus or train. Conversely, if you are already satisfied with a pair of over-ear headphones and only need a protective shell, this is not the right purchase. You do not need another set of earbuds if your primary setup is already working well; this is a replacement device, not an add-on.
The Maxjoy AirPods Max Case is a specialized accessory designed exclusively for owners of Apple's premium over-ear headphones. It does not produce sound, nor does it connect via Bluetooth. Instead, its entire value proposition lies in preservation. The kit includes three distinct components: a silicone headband cover, a pair of clear TPU ear cup covers, and silicone earpad covers. Together, these form a comprehensive shield against the everyday hazards that threaten expensive electronics like drops, dust, dirt, and scratches.
The materials used here are chosen for their tactile quality and protective capabilities. The combination of high-quality silicone and clear TPU ensures a smooth touch feeling while remaining soft and lightweight. Crucially, the clear TPU material allows the iconic aesthetic of the original AirPods Max to remain visible, so you don't have to sacrifice style for protection. The design claims to be accurate to the dimensions of the headphones, fitting snugly without adding unnecessary bulk. This is important because bulky cases can make carrying the headphones uncomfortable or difficult to store in a bag.
Durability is the standout feature for this product. The waterproof and sweatproof nature of the silicone components means you can take your headphones to the gym without worrying about damaging the cushions or the finish of the ear cups. The earcup covers specifically protect the delicate mesh and foam from oils and grime that accumulate during long listening sessions. Furthermore, the case is designed to work seamlessly with the Smart Case features of the AirPods Max, allowing the headphones to enter sleep mode when stored properly. This ensures that even with the added protection layers, the smart functionality of the device remains intact.
This product is strictly for people who already own the Apple AirPods Max and are looking to safeguard their investment. If you are considering buying the headphones for the first time, this case is an optional upgrade, not a requirement. However, if you plan to use your headphones in active environments—like a gym where sweat is inevitable—or if you tend to toss your gear into a bag with keys and coins, this cover is essential. It is not suitable for anyone looking for a new pair of headphones or someone who uses a completely different brand of audio gear, as the dimensions and cutouts are precise to the Apple model.

In my opinion, the choice comes down entirely to whether you need a new audio source or just a way to protect what you already have. If you are looking for the best headphones for mobile gaming, the Visual Land Soundwave A1 is the undeniable winner. Its combination of active noise cancellation, massive battery capacity, and water resistance makes it a purpose-built tool for gamers who need to stay immersed and connected. I would buy the Soundwave A1 because it solves the problem of limited battery life and poor isolation in a single, portable package.
However, if you already possess a pair of Apple AirPods Max and simply want to ensure they survive the rigors of daily life without losing their pristine condition, the Maxjoy case is the logical companion. It is a smart, low-cost insurance policy that keeps your expensive hardware safe from scratches and sweat. Do not try to use the Maxjoy case as a primary audio solution; it has no speakers. Stick to the Visual Land Soundwave A1 for your mobile gaming needs, and consider the Maxjoy case only if you are an owner of the specific Apple headphones you intend to protect.
