MS/PhD and Postdocs:

The group is looking for candidates interested in single-cell patch clamp electrophysiology. We are also looking for students interested in performing large-scale neuronal recordings using a Neuropixels 2.0 system. The research projects will involve animal handling, ex-vivo tissue preparations, histology, fluorescence microscopy, physiological measurements and analysis using MATLAB/Python/IgorPro, etc. Candidates with experience in any of the above-mentioned steps are particularly encouraged to apply. UG/ PG projects:

We require a minimum commitment of 6 months. IITM students are encouraged to do a UGRC. We are looking for students interested in reconstructing neurons, and their inputs, from publicly available Serial blockface Electron Microscopy datasets. We are also looking for students interested in designing analytical tools using Python or MATLAB for our behaviour and physiology datasets.
