Visual Bookmarks is a Chrome extension that displays and manages your existing Chrome bookmarks in a visual gallery.
Visual Bookmarks accesses your saved bookmark titles, URLs and folder structure to display, search and organise bookmarks.
To generate previews, the extension may request publicly accessible website pages and images. Website domains are also sent to Google's favicon service to display website icons.
Bookmark previews, uploaded cover images and display preferences are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB and Chrome's local storage.
Information is used to provide bookmark management, website previews, screenshot capture and link checking.
Visual Bookmarks does not require an account, sell personal data or use analytics or advertising trackers.
Website requests are sent to the relevant websites to retrieve previews or check links. Favicon requests are made to Google's favicon service.
You can rename, move or delete bookmarks through the extension. These changes affect your Chrome bookmarks. You can remove the extension and clear its local data through Chrome.
