What Art Course Does Visual Arts Centre Offer?
3 Medium Art Immersion Course
Covers 3 mediums that you make choose to interchange between during the duration of your course - Acrylic Painting, Watercolour Painting and Drawing and Sketching
Comes with a choice of 12, 24, 48 Sessions
Covers the basics of all three techniques from Sketching techniques, understanding different paint mediums to different brush strokes, etc.
Drawing and Sketching Course
Covers the basics of drawing and sketching such as form, composition, tones and depth, etc
Different types of sketching techniques
Covers topics from Still-life observation, Portrait Drawing, Landscape Drawing and Rendering professional artworks.
Acrylic Painting Course
Covers the basics of form and composition - beginning with Landscape paintings
How to mix colours and use the medium correctly - blending, mixing, tones, creating depth, etc.
Different brush strokes and techniques - pulling, dabbing, scrubbing, etc

Portfolio Preparation Course
To help train your kid from the utmost basics of drawing and sketching to producing their own unique style of artworks over a period of time. Our goal is to help your kid build a good foundation and slowly – as time goes by, help them find their niche and cultivate their creativity. Alongside a rich art portfolio they can use for various school admissions.
How do we conduct our classes?
Each class lasts for 2 hours and 15 minutes long. During which each student will work on different projects with different mediums of their choice and our teachers will go around the class and give professional, one-on-one guidance during 20-30 minute intervals.
Each class has a class size of about 8-9pax on weekdays and possibly more on the weekends. However, our teachers ensure that each student will receive due guidance throughout the lesson so do not worry about not receiving enough guidance during your lesson with us.

We are located right across the street from the Old Macdonald House, right on top of Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station (Take exit B from MRT station, turn left and follow VAC signs)

Visual Arts Centre is a 5500 square feet glass-house exhibition gallery and art studio located directly above the Dhoby Ghaut MRT and housed within the beautiful, lush green habitat of Dhoby Ghaut Green. Supported by the National Parks Board, Visual Arts Centre is Singapore’s premier arts recreational centre with rotating exhibitions, art activities and programmes free for public admission and a professional art studio offering various art courses for training and workshop.
