A Visit to the Physics and Engineering facilities at the University of Plymouth
Staff at the University of Plymouth are international experts in research in physics and engineering. The staff use cutting edge facilities to do their research.
On Tuesday 28 th June a group of physics teachers will visit physics and engineering facilities at the University of Plymouth. They will be able to see some of the state of the art equipment on the campus, which use the physics principles in the A-level and GCSE syllabus.
The teachers will visit the following facilities:
The Coast Laboratory
The robotics labs
A talk on Theoretical laser Physics
A talk about the exciting new engineering building being built on the campus of the University of Plymouth.
A visit to the Ship Simulator
A visit to the Electron Mircroscopy Center.
We hope to also include a visit to the Immersive Vision Theatre to see an astronomy demonstration.
The visitors will also get to talk to staff over lunch and coffee.
