1. Introduction Welcome to VisionGuard Pro. Your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Accessibility Service API (CRITICAL DISCLOSURE) VisionGuard Pro uses the Accessibility Service API strictly for the core functionality of the app.

• Why we use it: We use this service to detect which application is currently in the foreground to accurately track your screen time and enforce the 20-20-20 eye break rule.

• What we DO NOT do: We DO NOT read your screen content, monitor your typing history, or collect any sensitive information through this service. The Accessibility Service operates entirely locally on your device.

Other System Permissions:

• Draw Over Other Apps (Overlay): We use this to display the 20-20-20 eye rest animation over your screen when it's time to take a break.

• Read Phone State: We use this ONLY to check if you are on an active phone call. If you are on a call, we pause the eye-rest overlay so your call is not interrupted. We DO NOT access, read, or store your phone numbers, contacts, or call logs.

• Usage Access: Used to detect when you switch between apps to accurately calculate continuous screen time.

3. Data Collection and Usage

• What We Collect: We collect your Name and Phone Number strictly for account creation and cloud backup purposes. We do not sell or share this data, and users can delete their account entirely from the app.

• Account Data: We use Firebase Authentication (Phone Number login) to securely create and manage your account.

• Profile & Settings Data: Your Name, Age, Occupation, App Settings, and Profile Photo are stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore and Storage. This is used only within the app to personalize your experience and sync your settings.

• Local Storage: Your break history and app usage stats are saved locally on your device using an internal database (Room DB). Additionally, we use local device storage (SharedPreferences and internal file storage) to securely save your app preferences, cached profile information, and profile picture to provide a faster and smoother offline experience.

4. Data Retention and Deletion (Account Deletion Policy) 🗑️ We believe in giving you full control over your data.

• In-App Deletion: You can permanently delete your account at any time via the Profile Section by clicking the "Permanently Delete My Account" button.

• What happens when you delete: Once you confirm deletion, we immediately erase your profile information, phone number association, and settings from our Firebase Cloud Database. Local data on your device is also cleared.

• Manual Request: If you are unable to access the app, you can request data deletion by emailing us at contact.visionguard@gmail.com. We will process your request and delete all associated data within 48 hours.

Note: This action is irreversible. Once deleted, your progress and history cannot be recovered.

5. Third-Party Services We use Google Firebase for authentication, database management, and crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics). Their privacy policies govern the technical data they may collect for app stability and analytics.
