I am currently serving as a Scientist - D in the Water Resources Systems Division of National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee, Uttarakhand (INDIA). NIH is a research body which comes under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. I have around 14 years of experience of R&D in the field of Water Resources Engineering, Snow-Glacier Melt Runoff Modeling in the Himalaya, Rainfall-Runoff Modeling, Snow-Glacier Dynamics in the Himalaya, Climate Change and Downscaling, Flood Modeling, Machine Learning Methods and Remote Sensing & GIS Techniques for the Water Resources Analysis and Management. I am also engaged in various Technical and Administrative responsibilities of the Institute. 

Basically, I have done PhD (Civil Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati (Assam) and M. Tech (RSGIS in Water Resources) from from Allahabad Agricultural Institute, Allahabad (UP). After my PhD, I have worked as PDF Fellow at North Dakota State University (NDSU), Fargo, USA and Nanyang Technological University Singapore. I have also served as a Research Scientist at Regional Remote Sensing Centre-West, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). I have published more than 40 peer review International and National Journals. I am also member of several National and International Societies like ISRS, IAH and AGU etc. Presently I am involved in various Internal (NIH-In-House) and Sponsored Research & Development projects (National & International). I am also actively involved in the Capacity Building Programs of NIH.
