Prof. Vishal Sahebrao Badgujar is pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, India. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Information Technology Department at A. P. Shah Institute of Technology, University of Mumbai, Mumbai. 

His areas of Interest are Cyber Security, Open-source Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps, Cloud Computing, Network Security, and Automation. He has 9+ years of experience in academic and research. He has published 02 books so far on Cyber Security and on Intrusion Detection Systems. In his credit 02 patents, 05 copyrights, and 20+ publications in refereed journals as well as international and national conference proceedings. 

In the year 2022, he was awarded the “STAR QC award” for his exceptional contribution to translation as a quality check by Swayam-NPTEL. He has been awarded “Best Performing Educator” presented by RPA Rider BluPrism in 2021. He is a judge in the finale for National Level Toycathon-2021 and an evaluator and SPOC for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2022 & SIH-2023). He is an active reviewer for many Scopus-indexed journals and in international and national conferences too. He is also a Certified Google Educator Level 1 and Level 2, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Azure Cloud, etc., like Global Certifications in his bucket. 

He has been invited to deliver technical talks and presentations at International Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, and AICTE-ISTE Short-Term Training Programs (STTP) at several places in India. He is a Life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education.
