私の研究は、大規模な比較ゲノム解析、系統解析、実験データを統合し、ウイルスと宿主がどのように相互作用しながら進化し、また互いの進化にどのような影響を与えてきたのかを実例をもって示すものである。最終的には、感染症の予測、サーベイランス、制御に資するウイルス進化のより深い理解を目指している。
My research integrates large-scale comparative genomics, phylogenetics, and experimental data to demonstrate real-world examples of how viruses and hosts interact and evolve, and how they influence each other’s evolution, with the ultimate goal of developing a deeper understanding of viral evolution that contributes to the prediction, surveillance, and control of infectious diseases.
