It is wildly popular, super healthy, nutritious and very easy to make. I am simply demoing how to make authentic Nepali Duku Wala Rayo ko Saag. Alu ra Kerau ko Achar (spiced potato-peas salad) is a very popular, quick and easy Nepali pickle dish. It can be served as an appetizer, lunch or dinner. It goes very well with chuira (pronounced as "chyu-raa") (beaten rice), roti (tortilla), chips or Nepali's favorite dal-bhat (lentils and rice). It can be served at a room temperature. This recipe may vary by village, town, city or even family. Some people add thinly sliced cucumbers, finely cut radish, refreshing crisp asparagus, spring onions, thinly sliced red onions, steamed banana blossoms, cubed bell peppers, hariyo saano kerau (field peas), green or yellow dried peas, and even sprouted mung beans. There are endless variations and the list goes on and on.
