This year's topic of the Museum Night is "Museums are important". With our project, we have proved that digital and real can go hand in hand to support collaboration and creativity in education. Here are the results of the project made with the help of various digital tools our students used together with their teachers to express themselves, to share their ideas and creativity.

Emmy Noether

The students of "Matija Gubec" elementary school from Čeminac, Croatia, collaborated with the students from "August Šenoa" elementary school from Osijek, Croatia and explored Emmy Noether, a mathematical genius you've never heard of.

Dora Maar

Teaching blackout poetry is a simple and effective way to engage students in poetry. Students from two Croatian elementary schools: Zmijavci elementary school and Smiljevac elementary school took this one step further and connected the blackout poetry with French photographer, painter, and poet of Croatian roots - Dora Maar. A picture tells more than a thousand words, which you can see in their artistic e-book.

Zlata Bartl

The students of two Croatian schools - Drenje elementary school and Popovac elementary school, researched a scientist known all through the Balkans and even further under her nickname: Teta Vegeta. The condiment Zlata Bartl invented is ever-present in the kitchens all over the world. Marija Jurić Zagorka

📰 The first professional journalist and one of the most widely read Croatian writers. 📚 A fighter against social discrimination, hungarization, and germanization. A feminist icon and a unique person, Marija Juric Zagorka. 📲 Thanks to pupils from Tin Ujević primary school, Osijek, Croatia we can get to know her even better.

Born deaf and mute, Slava Raškaj expressed herself through painting from her earliest years.
