For the video component of our project, we will be creating a motion video using our Tessellation Project as the subject of our video and the BandLab audio we created as our musical "score." For this part of the project, there are many ways to accomplish this; however, it is suggested that you either use:
the video camera on your Chromebook, home device, or cell phone while playing your audio on the same device.
the video camera on your Chromebook, home device, or cell phone while playing your audio on a different device.
Hint: Start your BandLab file with 10-seconds of silence to allow you to press "play" and turn the camera around BEFORE the music starts and you start recording your artwork.
On a laptop or tablet, WebCamera.io is a suitable application to accomplish this type of a video. You may click the icon below or find a similar application already installed on your device.
Zoom In: Move the camera closer to the artwork
Zoom Out: Move the camera away from the artwork
Speed Up: Move the camera more quickly across the artwork
Slow Down: Move the camera slower across the artwork
Change Direction: Follow along the artwork in a straight line and then go in a different direction
Rotate: Rotate the direction of the camera
Create-Your-Own: Be creative and explore what you could do with your video
Use WebCamera.io or another recording program to create a minimum of a 45-second long video of your Tessellation Project using the music you created as the background audio.
Use at least four (4) different types of motion in your video.
Day 1 - Read the project pages and view videos.
Day 2 - Explore BandLab and create your first draft of a background song.
Day 3 - Refine your first draft. Let others listen to it and offer feedback -- socially-distanced, of course.
Day 4 - Record your video and submit your work. Remember: The first draft may not be the best. If each recording takes 45-seconds to record and another 45-seconds to watch what you recorded, you could easily record your project 10+ times in a class period to get the best version.
