The radiator in magenta can be translated in any direction by the differential of length set in the upper right. This differential is usually conveniently set as a fraction of the operating wavelength.
The quotient dP/dA approximates r_Poynting at the center of dA.
dP is reduced along with dA. dP/dA converges to r_Poynting for dA small.
The dipole is translated in y direction, away from target dA. dP is reduced accordingly. Sphere power does not change as long as the radiator is within the sphere of radius r.
Source is rotated by pi/8 degrees around y axis. This changes dP but not sphere power or total power.
Sphere power drops to negligible when radiator exits sphere of radius .2. Total power at infinity is unchanged. dP is further reduced.
