Learn More About the Montessori Curriculum

Montessori in Redlands is an environment where children begin a life journey of self-realization, love of learning, and global responsibility.

An education at MIR focuses on helping your child develop the cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and executive skills they will need to succeed as adults.

In a safe, home-like environment, your child experiences rich opportunities to explore with all their senses and grow through lots of active interaction with the adults.

Primary students engage in an enormous variety of real-life activities that support independence and self-efficacy.

Elementary students learn geography, biology, history, language, mathematics in all its branches, science, music, art, and much more. Students also continue to develop their social-emotional and executive functioning skills.

Montessori and Executive Functioning

Executive functioning is so important to success in life that MIR includes it in its Student Learner Outcomes. Executive functioning skills include working memory, flexible thinking, and self-control--the skills that we need to set goals, plan, and get things done.
