Toddler

At Virginia's daycare the toddler program serves children from 15 months to 3 years of age. We focus on play activities that relate to science, art, music and language. Children at this age are sensory-motivated. They learn through touching, tasting, seeing and smelling as well as listening to others. Our goal is to enhance education by utilizing the natural curiosity of toddlers and to teach them that learning can be fun.

We do the following activities:

Communication – toddlers learn how to express themselves
Emotional development – toddlers will learn how to handle emotions in a positive way
Learning – toddlers develop a bigger vocabulary and builds upon their imagination
Fine motor skills – toddlers learn how to do more tasks so they can be successful
Social skills – toddlers learn more about playing with others
