I’m a quantitative ecologist with an animal behaviour and movement ecology background. I sit at the interface between statistics and ecology as I am interested in the spatial modelling of species distributions and in the study of animal behaviour through the analyses of their movement, with applications to wildlife conservation and management. I have worked in both marine and terrestrial environments and have fieldwork experience, as well as teaching and supervising experience, and a growing publication record. I am also interested and actively involved in public outreach and scientific communication.
I am currently an Ad Astra fellow and Assistant Profesor in Wildlife Health and Land Use in the School of Agriculture and Food Science in UCD, where I focus on modelling wildlife species distributions within different conservation and management projects.
For almost 5 years, I've been part of the fantastic lab of Widlife Ecology and Behaviour at the School of Biology and Environmental Science in UCD, in Dublin (Ireland), and I still collaborate with the team in many projects, including projects investigating the role of badgers on bTB transmission and the effect of deer on biodiversit
I started my career in research at the Seabird Ecology lab in the University of Barcelona, where I did my PhD in the foraging and migratory movements of three species of shearwaters
