I am part of the DIW project team that analyzes which factors are important for wealth accumulation and how policy measures to promote wealth accumulation should be designed.
The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) in the context of the Poverty and Wealth Report that the Federal Government is required to submit regularly, as an instrument for evaluating (and suggesting) current (new) policy measures.
I presented some preliminary findings at the first (May 2023) and second (January 2024) symposiums for the 7th Poverty and Wealth Report of the Federal Government (web articles in German only).
Dezernat Zukunft is a non-partisan policy institute that aims to explain and re-think monetary, fiscal, and economic policy in an accessible and coherent way.
In 2021 and 2022, I joined the institute's team as a voluntary Policy Fellow, to scrutinize the common definition of "full employment" and to critically reflect on the current state and potentials of the German labor market.
We published a paper detailing our alternative concept of a labor market "at full capacity", which you can find here (unfortunately, in German only). Further, our suggestions are part of a much broader policy proposal by Dezernat Zukunft, a new fiscal policy for Germany.
