Vinu Thomas

Brief biography: 

Dr. Vinu Thomas received the B.Tech. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Calicut, Malappuram, India, the M.Tech. degree in energy systems engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kozhikode, India, in 2006, 2008, and 2020, respectively. He has worked as a project manager in  Reliance Industries and Mahindra  EPC Services in India for more than 3 years. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor for around 5 years in various engineering institutes in India. He did post-doctoral research at LS2N laboratory, Nantes, France for 1 year. At present he is an Associate Professor at Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Nantes, France. His research interests include inverter based resources (IBR) and renewable energy dominated power systems and has published around  20 research papers in various journals and conferences.
