I have been working as an Assistant Professor in the department of mechanical engineering at IIT Guwahati since 2023. I belong to the fluid mechanics and thermal sciences division within the department.

My current research is in the broad area of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), with particular focus on 

a) the fundamental aspects of MHD turbulence; and

b) the dynamics of plasmas relevant to the production of green energy via nuclear fusion of Hydrogen. 

My work is theoretical and computational in nature, while I collaborate with experimentalists as and when required.
