Vinicius Neves Possani

Ph.D. in Computer Science

Ph.D. in Computer Science with more than ten years researching and developing optimization algorithms for Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Solid experience with graph-based algorithms and data structures. In the EDA field, worked developing scalable algorithms for automating the synthesis and optimization of very large digital circuit designs. From August of 2019 to June of 2022, he worked as Senior R&D Engineer at Synopsys Inc. in Silicon Valley, California, US.

Previously, Vinicius received the Bachelor's Degree and the Master's Degree in Computer Science from Federal University of Pelotas – UFPEL, Pelotas – RS, Brazil, in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS, Porto Alegre – RS, Brazil, in 2019. From April to August of 2017 he was a Ph.D. Visiting Researcher (Short-term Scholar) at ISS group from University of Texas at Austin in a collaborative research on exploiting parallel graph analytics tools (Galois System) for speeding up graph-based EDA algorithms.
