Postdoctoral Researcher Position at Computer Vision, AI & Data Research Group, Faculty of Computer Science, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam
Our research group is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position under HCMOU's yearly Postdoctoral Program. We work on computer vision, biometrics, deep learning, and graph neural networks, with active projects in AI applications for agriculture, healthcare, and Vietnamese language processing. Recent work includes hybrid quantum-graph learning for fault detection, hierarchical GNNs for visual speech recognition, and medical/biometric image analysis, in collaboration with international partners including the University of the Basque Country (Spain).
Who we're looking for:
A recent Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, or a closely related field, with a track record of international publications (Q1–Q3 journals)
Research interests aligned with computer vision, deep learning, GNNs, or applied AI
Strong independent research and collaborative skills
What's offered:
Monthly stipend of 12,000,000 VND, plus additional compensation for exceeding publication/teaching requirements
Access to research facilities, labs, and software
Support for international conference travel and academic exchange
Contract terms of 3–12 months, with teaching and mentoring opportunities within our group
