I am an observational astrophysicst studying how black holes and their host galaxies evolve through cosmic time.

I use data from the X-ray to radio wavelength in my research both at low and high redshift. I am PI of the SUPER large programme with SINFONI at the VLT to make the first statistically sound investigation of AGN feedback at z~2. I am PI of two approved JWST programs (Cycle-1 and Cycle-2) for the study of the molecular phase of AGN outflows and their impact on star-formation.

I am a full astronomer at ESO where I am responsible as Project Scientist for future multi-objects spectrographs: 4MOST and MOSAIC.

I am also the project scientist for a community led initiative for a new major facility in astronomy, the Wide-field Spectroscopic Telescope (WST).
