HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER IN THE
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL FOOD BANK
At St. Alfred Church
There are many different ways to volunteer in the food bank, from working a bi-weekly morning shift serving clients to picking up donations from local grocery stores and COSTCO to helping with pickup and delivery of large volume orders and more. We need your help as the food bank is open 5 days a week serving thousands of clients throughout our area.

Here’s how to become a volunteer . . .
Visit the church office during normal business hours and ask for a Volunteer Application Package.
Fill out the application form, include your references, then return it to the office.
You will receive a call to come to an interview (a very pleasant experience).
In the application package you will find information on how to get your police check for vulnerable sector volunteers. Go ahead with this at your closest police station and pay for it yourself. You can bring your receipt to the church office if you wish to have the cost covered by the church.
When you receive the results of your police check, bring it to the church office.
After your interview and receipt of your police check, you will be contacted by the St. Vincent de Paul Volunteer Coordinator, Lorna Toye, to discuss how you would like to be involved – welcome aboard!
