RESTAURANT PROJECT: MARKETING (5/15/22)

There are many ways to market your business. Some may work more than others when trying to capture the attention of your target audience. That's the focus when marketing. The audience, or mass market. Your business needs to be able to have what the people want or desire, and it can be many different things depending on where you're situated. I picked 3 tips on how to market your business efficiently, which are (1)Social Media,(2)Engaging with the Customer, and(3) Partnering with businesses targeting the same audience.

The first tip is Social Media. Social Media has been around for a while and people are on it all the time. So what better way to advertise your business than on social media. "There are now 4.2 billion active social media users—almost twice as many as there were just five years ago. Those users spend an average of 2 hours and 25 minutes on social channels every single day. (Hootsuite website)" and according to a Neal Schaffer website on marketing, "Social media marketing is proven to be effective because between online consumers, 97% of them accessed social media at least once a month. Hence, for most consumers, it is their major source of product information. In addition, 67% of consumers expect brands and companies to have social media presence to provide customer service. "So many businesses get noticed by the ads they post on Instagram, Facebook, etc. It's an easy and cost effective way to promote your business because all you have to do is post your product online and your target audience will automatically gravitate to it because technology has a way of showing people stuff that matches their wants and needs.

The second tip is Engaging with the Customer. The customer is the most important part of your business because without customers, you'd have no business. They are the ones you need to keep captivated by your product; to keep coming back for more. So having a brand presence is not enough. You're expected to be great at it. When hiring employees, you would have to insure that they at least have experience with dealing with customers of all types. "Exceptional customer service is the unconditional commitment to giving the highest level of product or service to every person, regardless of the circumstances. It doesn’t matter if the customer is at fault for the issue. It doesn’t matter if it’s a once-in-a-lifetime situation. When you’re thinking about how to deliver exceptional customer service, remember this simple motto: Do anything and everything within your power.(HelpScout website)" Think about a way to help your community one-on-one every day. It doesn’t have to relate to your product or service — just make sure it aligns with your values and gives customers the same feeling that you want to create when they use your product or service.

The final tip is to Partner with Businesses that Target the same Audience that you do. Now, it may seem kind of backwards to team up with the competition, but it's another way to see what the other person is doing to gain people that could help you level up on your marketing and advertising. You're bound to learn a thing or two from your partnering businesses. For one, you'll have access to brand new customers, which is what both you and your partner want. It helps to build up trust and brand awareness.

JERRY ROBERTS: FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL

1) In class, in sports, in your friendships/relationships, are you able to do better?

2) Take on a sense of initiative. Don't wait to be told what to do if you feel that you can already do it.

3) Help out your peers wherever and whenever you can. They might need it.

4) Be respectful and considerate of others's feelings.

5) Do more for your classmates, teachers, etc. (help out in any way that you can.)

6) Be enthusiastic. Solve problems, don't be one.

7) Be your own teacher. Continuously improve your skills in any area that you feel you need improvement in.

8) Be a healthier physically, mentally, and spiritually.

9) Spend time with your family, even if it's not a lot.

10) Be a good example for the younger kids. Teach them what they can control, for they might not have a person to tell them those kinds of things.
