Vinay Kumar B.R.
I am a post-doctoral researcher at INRIA Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée working with Konstantin Avrachenkov in the NEO team. I did my Ph.D. in the Department of ECE at the Indian Institute of Science under the guidance of Navin Kashyap. My thesis was titled "Probabilistic Forwarding of Coded Packets for Broadcasting over Networks".
Before joining for my Ph.D., I was a Project Associate at the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering at IISc. I obtained my B.E.(Hons.) in Electrical Engineering and M.Sc.(Hons.) in Mathematics from BITS-Pilani in 2014. My research interests include mathematical modelling of wireless networks, distributed algorithms for computation and communication on such networks and statistical learning. I employ techniques from probability theory, percolation, random graphs, information theory etc.
