Dr. Vinayak Bhanage is an Assistant Professor at the IDEC Institute, Hiroshima University, Japan. He obtained a Ph.D. in Resources Engineering from the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay, India, with the prestigious INSPIRE fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology. 

Dr. Vinayak specializes in Geoinformatics, Urban Climate, and Resource Engineering, focusing on urban microclimate, aerosol radiative forcings, Land Use Land Cover Dynamics, and Remote Sensing - GIS applications for a sustainable environment.

His academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Sciences in Mathematics from Fergusson College, India, followed by a Master of Sciences in Geoinformatics and a Master of Technology in Atmospheric and Space Science, both earned from the University of Pune, India. Dr. Vinayak has been acclaimed for his academic prowess, holding the university's first rank and receiving the Prof. Gannathan Prize for Best Thesis Award. Beyond his academic achievements, he has shared his knowledge as a visiting lecturer at various institutions and conducted workshops for both national and international students.

Dr. Vinayak Bhanage continues to make significant strides in advancing our understanding of urban microclimates and promoting sustainable practices by applying cutting-edge technology and environmental science.

Delivered a series of Webinars  

I had the privilege of delivering my talks to over 200 engaged participants at the Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology and the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, for this opportunity. The first talk was on 'Urban Growth Modelling and its Implication on Climate Using Spatial Data.' At the same time, in the second, I explained about 'Innovation in Urban Resilience: Strategies for Climate Proof Cities.
