Tour Viñales

Ride in a beautiful classic car where you will visit the Mirador de los Jazmines to appreciate the world's best known view of the Viñales Valley. The tour includes a visit to a peasant house to learn about the process of tobacco production, coffee and honey, Mural of Prehistory, the tobacco destemming, panoramic tour of the town of Viñales, the Palenque de los Cimarrones, the Cueva del Indio for a boat ride on its underground river and at the end an exquisite Creole lunch.

Tobacco Tour

You visit a tobacco meadow where you can appreciate the different processes through which the leaf of the aromatic plant goes through until the manufacture of the cigar. The tour allows you to learn from experts, important moments of tobacco production while you taste a good cigar and drink a few sips of the local drink Guayabita del Pinar or instead, a rum to pair. It includes a visit to the destemming and selection of tobacco, where the tobacco leaves are selected in different suitable sizes and then a part of the central vein is removed.

Horse Carriage Tour

In a colonial-style horse-drawn carriage you visit the El Renacimiento Agoecological Estate, located in the middle of the Viñales Valley, surrounded by mogotes and typical vegetation. There you have time to enjoy the beautiful view of the landscape and observe the process of producing tobacco, coffee and honey.

From the farm, parts to the Mural of Prehistory, a painting of colossal size in the open air that shows the geological evolution of the territory and the scene where many fragments of the meteorite that fell on February 1, 2019 were found.

At the end you visit the Roots project, where the sculptures made with the roots of the trees, show you the way to a natural viewpoint that recreates the view of the Valley of Penance. Right in front of you is the Canopy (optional) from where you can jump over the pine canopy on a route of more than 1km in length.

Walk through the heart of the valley

Enjoy the local flora and fauna, beautiful landscapes and get to know the way of life of the peasant in the Viñales Valley. The tour includes a visit to the tobacco plantations where you taste for free an authentic cigar handmade by an expert cigar roller and at the same time enjoy a Creole coffee drink. You observe the cork palm, an endemic species of this province considered a living fossil of geological times and from what is popularly called Cueva de la Vaca, a natural viewpoint, you recreate the senses with the impressive view of the Viñales Valley in the middle of the surroundings of the National Park.

Walk: Sunrise in the Aquatics Mountain

You walk along a very particular path that leads to the top of a mountain where the community of Los Acuáticos settled, in the first half of the twentieth century. This group of families believed in the healing powers of the spring waters that still bathe these lands today.

On the tour you observe the local flora and fauna, if you like bird watching you will love to witness tocororos, carta cuba and other endemic species, as well as the cork palm, the only living fossil that you will only find in this region.

At the end you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Valley of Penance in the Sierra del Infierno. In this landscape, fields planted with local crops such as tobacco predominate, surrounded by the Mogotes, the rock formation more than 120 million years old.

This area is also known because here on February 1, 2019, many meteorite fragments fell.

At the end of the tour you will visit an agroecological farm where you can interact with local traditions, participate in the production process of tobacco, coffee, honey.

Walk: Sunset the Valley of Silence

You visit an integral peasant farm where you appreciate the entire process of tobacco cultivation, from the plantation to the manufacture of the delicious cigar. You also experience unique moments such as the preparation of Creole coffee in the traditional way and receive a souvenir of a tobacco and a freshly boiled cup of Viñalero coffee. You continue along the trail that crosses the National Park, and you arrive at a natural viewpoint to observe a beautiful view of the Mogotes and the Valley of Silence during sunset. This excursion can be done on horseback or on foot and ends at Finca El Paraíso where you can optionally taste a tasty Creole food made with the crops that are harvested in the place or a traditional drink called anti-stress cocktail made with aromatic plants with medicinal properties.

Walk: Hike from the Jazmines viewpoint to the Vinales valley

You leave the viewpoint of the Los Jazmines hotel, descend through the pine forests (typical vegetation of the area) and cross the best-known landscape of the Viñales Valley until you reach a traditional peasant house where you receive all the explanation of the process of growing tobacco and other local products.

Horseback riding

Horseback riding along mountain trails to enjoy nature and appreciate the traditions of the peasant. Almost the entire Viñales valley is crossed and the mogotes are contemplated as well as the process of cultivation, collection, drying and production of tobacco on a peasant farm. In this place you will share a cigar with the peasants and taste a good Creole coffee. At the end you can bathe in a cave located in the Palmarito Valley, well known for its natural pools. Walk: Wonders of Viñales (Bird Watching)

An interesting route that crosses a unique area of ruined karst, where various geological phenomena typical of this type of relief are manifested. You can observe the wonders of a forest with its spectacular living fossil the microcycas calocoma (cork palm), as well as other endemic species of the local flora and fauna where charismatic species such as the macromiscasp, a brightly colored ant, the zachrysia guanensis, the largest terrestrial mollusk in Cuba, as well as species of birds of beautiful colors, stand out. such as the national bird (tocororo) and the cartacuba.

Excursion to the Great Cavern of St. Thomas

You will walk through a unique trail of its kind in the country, along the wall of a mogote that leads you to the entrance of the Great Cavern of Santo Tomas, considered the largest in Cuba and the second largest in Latin America. Located just 18 km from the town of Viñales, on the way you can observe the unique flora and fauna typical of the place, and once inside the cave you will be surprised by whimsical rock formations and majestic underground rooms of the cave. The tour lasts 1 hour and a half and you can visit it every day from 9am to 3pm. Requirement: non-slip footwear and preferably closed.

Bike adventures

On this tour you will visit intramontane valleys, rural communities, you will pass very close to the mogotes, you will learn about the history of the communities, various crop crops, typical flora and fauna of the place, bird watching.
