Founder & Visionary
The journey of Village Yatra began with a simple observation and a deep-seated passion for social change. Having traveled through numerous villages and interacted with diverse communities, I witnessed firsthand the gap between rural potential and available resources. With a background in theatre and having performed countless Nukkad Nataks (Street Plays), I saw the incredible power of storytelling and art in awakening minds. These experiences moved me deeply and led to a life-changing decision: to move beyond performance and into direct action.
I also authored a book titled “Shadi Mat Karna,” through which I express my thoughts and perspectives, but my primary focus remains on my work and social initiatives.
I realized that while plays could spark a conversation, a dedicated organization could bring a lasting solution. This led to the birth of Village Yatra. My mission started with the belief that no child should be left behind in education and no village should be deprived of basic health awareness. Today, I lead this initiative with the same energy I bring to the stage, committed to transforming rural India, one village at a time, and ensuring a dignified life for those who need it the most.

My Resolve
A thought that has always stayed with me comes from my own village. My village is still underdeveloped, and whenever I see the people there—especially the children—it fills me with a deep sense of discomfort and responsibility. In theatre, I have portrayed many such characters, lived their realities on stage, and somewhere along the way, I didn’t just act those emotions—I truly felt them.
That is when I made a decision for my life: no matter what it takes, for as long as I live, I will continue to reach out to people and bring awareness into their lives. I will connect them with education and opportunities—whether through Nukkad Natak, theatre, or films—using every medium I know, until their voices are heard and their lives begin to change.
