My name is Vilane /vilˈane/, and I am a Marie Curie Research Fellow at Ca'Foscari University and the CMCC Foundation. My work is situated at the dynamic intersection of climate change economics, artificial intelligence (AI), and geospatial science.
I specialize in leveraging advanced AI and machine learning applications to address pressing environmental challenges. My core focus is on developing and applying data-driven methods, including remote sensing and geospatial analysis, to conduct sophisticated vulnerability assessments. I am particularly passionate about understanding and mitigating the impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities.
My expertise encompasses environmental econometrics, the analysis of extreme climate events, and the practical application of machine learning, data mining, and GIS to generate actionable insights for climate resilience and sustainable development. I am committed to research that not only advances scientific understanding but also informs equitable policy and supports communities most at risk from environmental change.
