At Vik’s Daycare, my approach is simple: children learn best through movement, play, connection, and real-life experiences.
With my background in conductive education and over 25 years of experience, I intentionally create activities that support the whole child—movement, confidence, independence, emotional well-being, and social development.
I also understand that behaviour is communication. Children may show big feelings when they are tired, overwhelmed, learning boundaries, or trying to express a need. My goal is to respond with patience, guidance, and understanding while helping children feel safe, supported, and respected.
Every part of our day has a purpose, while still feeling natural, fun, and child-led.
What we focus on:
From crafts to pretend play, children are encouraged to explore, create, and express themselves in meaningful ways.
Movement is at the heart of everything we do. Through daily activities and real-life routines, children build coordination, strength, balance, independence, and confidence in their bodies. We support the development of gross and fine motor skills through outdoor play, obstacle courses, yoga, ride-ons, music, and movement games.
Sensory play and hands-on activities help children explore the world while supporting fine motor skills and early learning. Through touch, sound, movement, nature, water play, sensory bins, and creative materials, learning becomes natural and engaging.
I support children with patience and understanding, recognizing that behaviour is often a way of communicating. Through gentle guidance, routines, and connection, children learn to express themselves and feel secure.
We spend time outdoors discovering nature, going on walks, bird watching, and turning simple moments into adventures like scavenger hunts.
We celebrate different cultures through stories, music, and traditions, including Hungarian and Haitian influences, helping children experience diversity in a natural and joyful way.
