Mr. Barnwal was a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Statistics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, India. He has earned his Ph.D. degree from the same institution in 2024. He has expertise in statistical modelling, survival analysis, longitudinal data and incomplete data. His areas of interest are Bayesian inference, computational statistics, public health studies and Epidemiology. He has expertise in data analysis and visualization using R/R-Studio, SPSS and Python. He also excelled in MS Office tools and writing software LaTeX. In his doctoral research, he focused on the development of parametric models under the Bayesian paradigm for time-to-event data. These models are specifically designed to handle competing risks data and aimed to improve the precision and accuracy of data analysis. Also, he developed a flexible joint model for analysing longitudinal data and competing risks data simultaneously with cause-dependent masking under the Bayesian paradigm. By incorporating advanced statistical techniques, his research aimed to provide more reliable and insightful results, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the area where these data are being generated.
