Welcome! I am Dr. Vijay Kumar Patel, a mathematician working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computational Sciences, IIIT Surat. During my Master's studies at Banaras Hindu University, I developed an interest in PDEs and Numerical Analysis.  Later, I applied some of these techniques to solve some problems on the Fractional PDEs using wavelets and operational matrices during my PhD at IIT BHU Varanasi under the supervision of Prof. Vineet Kumar Singh. I was an NBHM Postdoc Fellow (Awarded by DAE, GOI) and a National Postdoc Fellow (Awarded By ANRF, GOI) at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, IIT Kanpur. I got selected for Dr. D.S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowhip (Not availed). I have visited a few countries like Japan, Germany, and Russia and presented my research work in the  International Conferences and workshops. 

My current research interests lie in the Numerical analysis of differential equations (ordinary/partial/fractional) using operational matrices, finite differences, finite element, and neural network methods. I enjoy students' company. I have taught a variety of courses and supervised a number of projects on a variety of topics ranging from Numerical methods to analysis. I believe that the ability to present mathematics (in written and oral form) is as important as understanding it and producing new results.
