Synthesis of Ce doped TiO2 thin films and characterization of the optical and electrical properties for solar cell applications
Abstract
This project was aimed at synthesizing and to deposit thin films of Ce doped TiO2 nano-material of different doping concentration on a conductive substrate (ITO/FTO) and characterize the structural, optical & electrical properties of Ce doped TiO2 thin films. The Ce doped TiO2 thin films were synthesized by sol-gel technique. The structural characterization of thin films was performed to confirm the formation of nano-materials and the presence of doped Ce molecules in TiO2 by XRD, and FTIR. To assess the optical performance of synthesized thin films Photo- Luminescence and UV-DRS Characterization techniques were used and it was found that the band gap of thin films has decreased after doping with Ce; it was also observed that the films show better photo-excitation in the visible range of spectrum. The electrical characterization of thin films was performed using Potentiostat/Galvanostat (PGSTAT) in presence and absence of visible light source for current voltage Cyclic Voltammetry measurements. Charging and discharging cycle of thin films were studied at different scan rate. From cyclic voltammetry curves the charge storage capacity and electrochemical capacitance (ultra-capacitance) were calculated. The thin films after doping showed improved charge storage and capacitance in presence of visible light.
Synthesis of Au doped TiO2 thin film and characterization of the electrical properties for solar cell applications.
Abstract
This project was aimed to synthesize and deposit thin film of Au doped TiO2 nano-material on a conductive substrate (ITO) and characterize the structural, optical & electrical properties of Au doped TiO2 thin films to study the charge storage capacity and the variation of charge storage capacity of the prepared thin films. The Au doped TiO2 thin films were synthesized by sol-gel technique. The electrochemical characterization of thin films was performed by Potentiostat/Galvanostat in presence & absence of visible light source for Cyclic Voltammetry. Charging and discharging cycle of thin films were studied at different scan rate. From cyclic voltammetry curves the charge storage capacity and electrochemical capacitance (ultra-capacitance) of thin films were calculated.
Development of Hexagonal Electrical Distribution System (HEDS)
Abstract
In the existing Electricity distribution system when the load increases in a region it affects the other regions and nearby areas and the supply becomes low in the other regions because the supply is coming from a single supply station therefore there isn't any scheme to overcome from the overload problems of the distribution system. In this paper we have try to develop a new distribution system named as Hexagonal Electrical Distribution system(HEDS). In this Hexagonal distribution system we have presented the solution of overloading problem and we can share the loads of different areas because every load region is fed from two other supply sources. So each load is connected to two supply source. If one source is unable to carry one particular load then in this condition the other source will activate to serve that load region and so on.
