Prof. Maria Laura bolognesi

Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, Coordinator of the Biotechnological, Biocomputational, Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences PhD Program at the University of Bologna. Her research is concerned with the design, synthesis, and biological investigation of small molecules in the neurodegenerative and neglected tropical disease therapeutic areas. She has a track record of more than 180 publications in high-ranked scientific journals, including patents and patent applications, and numerous invited talks worldwide. She was awarded a Distinguished Visiting Professor Fellowship at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2009, a PVE Fellowship at the University of Brasilia in 2014 and Professeur Invité at Université Caen Normandie in 2018. She is also the President of the Medicinal Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (ACS) and serves in the Advisory Board of the European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC).

ANTONIO MOAR

Communicator, business trainer and expert in professional and business transformation from an integral point of view. He has been teaching classes, training managers, coaching teams and motivating professionals for more than 20 years in sectors such as banking, pharmaceuticals and insurance. He graduated in Industrial Engineering at the University of Cataluña (Spain) and received his PhD in Economics (2016) from the University Rey Juan Carlos (Spain). He has studied Decision Analysis at Standford University, Professional Coaching and General Management Programme (PDG) at IESE and Management Development Plan at ESADE, as well as courses on networking. Currently, he is an associated professor at the IE Business School, where he received for two sucessive years the award for academic excellence. Moreover, he gave lessons in EBS Business School (2007-2011) and Deusto Business School (2013-2017). Since 2011, he has been working on the coaching company antonio:moar, on which he is the founder.

DR. olalla vázquez

Associate Professor in Chemical Biology at the University of Marburg (Germany). She graduated in Chemistry and received her PhD in Organic Chemistry (2010) from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). There, Olalla worked on artificial transcription factors and fluorescent DNA binders under the supervision of Prof. Jose Luis Mascareñas and Prof. Eugenio M. Vázquez. She visited Prof. Gregory L. Verdine (2006) at Harvard University and Prof. Oliver Seitz (2008) at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Afterwards, she returned to Berlin to explore RNA-templated reactions for cancer therapy as Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow. In 2014 she was appointed as Assistant Professor at the University of Marburg to manage the newborn Chemical Biology division. In April 2020, Olalla successfully passed her tenure evaluation, and consequently, she was promoted to Associate Professor in January 2021. Her main interests are focused on the development of innovative optochemical tools combining organic chemistry and biological approaches.
