Norse Quest

(Trading Cards Game)

Norse Quest is a community-driven trading card game in which players collect and exchange cards inspired by the gods and goddesses of Norse mythology. Each day, players can visit the card vendor to receive three random cards from a collection of thirty-six unique deities. Every card features a different god or goddess, brought to life through beautiful artwork and an authentic Norse-inspired design.

The cards themselves can be worn within Second Life, appearing in the avatar's right hand. By clicking on a worn card, players can cycle through a selection of animations, adding an extra interactive element to the experience.

As players build their collections, duplicate cards are inevitable—this is where the social side of the game comes into play. All cards are fully transferable, encouraging players to trade with one another in order to complete their sets. Whether through friendly swaps, organised trading events, or spontaneous deals, interaction between players lies at the heart of the experience.

The ultimate goal is to collect all thirty-six Norse gods and goddesses. Because cards are distributed randomly, completing the collection requires both patience and cooperation. The game is designed to be simple, accessible, and rewarding over time, giving everyone a reason to connect, trade, and take part in a shared activity.

What makes Norse Quest special is its celebration of Norse mythology. From mighty gods and wise goddesses to legendary figures of the Viking imagination, each card offers players a glimpse into the rich world of the Norse myths while providing a fun and engaging collecting experience.

An inworld tally HUD is also available and can be worn on your screen to help you keep track of the cards you own and those still to be collected.

Eir is a healer‑goddess associated with medicine, protection, and the preservation of life.

Forseti is the calm, fair‑minded god of justice who settles disputes with perfect impartiality.

06 - Freyja

Freyja is the Vanir goddess of love, beauty, magic, and battle, receiving half of all fallen warriors.

07 - Freyr

Freyr is a benevolent fertility god who brings peace, prosperity, and good harvests to humankind.

08 - Frigg

Frigg is the queen of the Aesir, gifted with foresight and revered as a protector of families.

09 - Gefion

Gefion is a ploughing goddess who carved the island of Zealand from Sweden using her enchanted oxen.

10 - Heimdall

Heimdall is the ever‑watchful guardian of Bifrost whose keen senses allow him to hear grass grow.

11 - Hel

Hel rules the underworld realm of the same name, receiving those who die of illness or old age.

12 - Hlin

Hlin is a gentle goddess who protects people from danger and offers comfort in times of fear.

13 - Hodr

Hodr is the blind god of darkness who is tragically manipulated into killing his brother Baldr.

14 - Hœnir

Hœnir is a quiet, enigmatic god involved in the creation of humanity, known for his indecisiveness.

15 - Idunn

Idunn guards the golden apples of youth that keep the gods eternally young and strong.

16 - Jord

Jord is the personification of the earth and the mother of Thor, embodying fertile land and natural strength.

17 - Lofn

Lofn is a compassionate goddess who blesses unions and allows forbidden loves to flourish.

Loki is the cunning trickster whose shapeshifting and schemes bring both chaos and unexpected aid to the gods.

Máni is the moon‑god who guides the night sky while fleeing from the wolf Hati.

Mimir is the keeper of the well of wisdom, whose severed head Odin preserves for counsel.

21 - Nanna

Nanna is Baldr’s devoted wife who dies of grief and joins him in the afterlife.

22 - Njord

Njord is the sea‑god of wealth, fishing, and favourable winds, beloved by sailors and merchants.

23 - Odin

Odin is the all‑father who sacrifices endlessly in his pursuit of wisdom, magic, and mastery over fate.

24 - Ran

Ran is a mysterious sea‑spirit who gathers drowned sailors in her net and keeps them in her underwater hall.

25 - Sif

Sif is an earth‑goddess known for her golden hair, symbolising fertile fields and prosperity.

26 - Sjofn

Sjofn is a gentle goddess who encourages affection and helps reconcile strained relationships.

27 - Skadi

Skadi is a fierce huntress and mountain‑goddess who chooses her husband by looking at his feet.

28 - Snotra

Snotra is the refined goddess of wisdom, courtesy, and disciplined behaviour, admired for her composed nature.

29 - Sól

Sól is the sun‑goddess who drives the solar chariot while being chased by the wolf Sköll.

30 - Syn

Syn is a stern guardian goddess who protects doors and denies entry to those who should not pass.

31 - Thor

Thor is the thunder‑god and mighty defender of Midgard, wielding the hammer Mjölnir against giants.

32 - Tyr

Tyr is the brave god of law and honour who sacrifices his hand to bind the wolf Fenrir.

33 - Ullr

Ullr is a skilled archer and skier who presides over oaths and winter survival.

34 - Vali

Vali is the swift avenger born solely to kill Hodr and restore honour after Baldr’s death.

35 - Var

Var is a goddess who oversees oaths and punishes those who break solemn promises.

36 - Vidar

Vidar is the silent, immensely strong god destined to avenge Odin by slaying Fenrir at Ragnarok.
