Vignesh Prasad

About me

I'm a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Darmstadt at the PEARL group of Prof. Dr. Georgia Chalvatzaki working at the intersection of Human-Robot Interaction, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning. I finished my Ph.D. at the Intelligent Autonomous Systems group on "Learning Human-Robot Interaction: A Case Study on Human-Robot Handshaking" supervised by Prof. Jan Peters, Dr. Georgia Chalvatzaki, Dr.-Ing. Dorothea Koert and Prof. Ruth Stock-Homburg

Before this, I worked in the Machine Vision team at TCS Innovation Labs, Kolkata under Dr. Brojeshwar Bhowmick. I graduated in July 2017 from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad with a Dual Degree (B. Tech. (Hons) and MS by research) in Computer Science and Engineering.  During my Masters, I worked in the Robotics Research Centre under Dr. K Madhava Krishna

My Research interests include Human-Robot Interaction, Robot Learning, and Computer Vision.

In my spare time, I'm also a stand-up comedian. I also enjoy dancing, swimming, playing football and basketball, gaming, and playing the bass guitar.
