ViVa Vigan! The Vigan City roads will once again be filled with beats and dances as they will celebrate the City’s Fiesta and Longganisa Festival scheduled on January 18 – 27, 2024.

Every year, on the third week of January is the very much awaited event for everyone including tourists as this is the time of the year where the pride of every Bigueno is being celebrated. With that, the City Government of Vigan have prepared series of activities in which every event embodies and reflects the rich heritage and culture of Vigan.

Based in the City’s scheduled activities, January 18 is the official opening of Vigan Food Festival. On the following days ahead consist of Agriculture and Education Day. To even promote inclusivity, the City Government of Vigan have also prepared an activity for the LGBTQIA+ community which consist of ‘LGBTQIA+ Community Alay Gupit’ and LGBTQIA+ Got Talent and Fashion Show.’

Also, the highlight of the city’s fiesta, the Longganisa Street Dancing and Showdown Competition, will be held on the 22nd day of January. Talents of participant are not only being showcased but also the process of making longganisa, which Vigan City is also known for.

Other activities include Social Services Night, Metro Vigan Dancesports Club Night and Balikbayan Grand Ball, Vigan City Fiesta and ABC Night, Zumba Night and SK/Bigueno Day that will be held on January 19- 27 respectively.

Clearly, the City Government of Vigan is making an innate effort in this year’s celebration to give each and every one an unforgettable experience.
