When your employer has uploaded your payslips and P60s to Sage HR Online Services, this means you can access these yourself online anytime. Use this guide for details on how to access your payslips on a computer or tablet.

You can make employees' payslipsavailable in PDF format in the View Payslips transaction (GP_SS_EE_PSLP).The system creates the PDF files when the Create Self Service Payslips ApplicationEngine process (GP_EPAY) runs. Employees can view their payslips using the View Payslip transaction.When the employee accesses the View Payslips page, the system displays allpayslips available, listed 10 at a time. To display the detailed payslip,the employee clicks the date link.

If the Enable Option in Self Service fieldis selected on the Self Service Payslip Options page, employees also havethe option of indicating whether they want to receive a printed copy of theirpayslip.

Employees have direct access to view and change the following payroll-related information without any approval and without any changes needed to the employee record, through Employee Self-Service in Pitt Worx beginning after 1/4/2021. The University of Pittsburgh is required by IRS regulations to send employees a paper Form W-2 unless they consent to receive their Form W-2 in an electronic format. If employees do not provide consent to receiving their Form W-2 statement electronically by December 31st, they will receive a paper copy that will be mailed to the address on file in Pitt Worx. You may still opt in to view your Form W-2 electronically at any time.

Forms 1042-S for non-resident aliens will be available online to those that opt in for the electronic version and hard copies will be mailed to employees no later than March 15, 2023. Please note, the consent process for the online 1042-S is separate from the online W-2 consent. If you are receiving a Form 1042-S you will be sent a separate notification with instructions to consent to the electronic version.

Individuals receiving payroll payments can review their payslip in PittWorx to determine if they will receive a 1042-S. If University Contributions/Other on December payslip shows 1042S-18, 19, or 20 Wages in the year to date column or 16 listed along with any postdoctoral scholarships, predoctoral fellowships and training grants payments under the Earnings section of the payslip the earnings will be reported on 1042S and are excluded from Federal wages on W-2. Additionally any individual that has non-W2 FIT tax withheld from their payment will receive a 1042-S.

If you consent after the deadline a paper copy will be mailed to the address on file. However, we will continue to upload forms for those that consent to an electronic copy after the deadline. If you consent after the deadline please wait 1-2 business days after providing consent to receive notification that your form is available to view.

For the employee, it eliminates lost or stolen pay information and significantly reduces the risk of identity theft.
