We will show the users how to use the Wifi-Direct feature of the app. This feature allows the users to share information between two devices that have the app installed and use the same Wifi network.
on two devices to choose the action "Wifi Direct". This opens the Wifi-Direct pages on two devices. See the images below
Click "Discover Devices" button on one (or both) of two devices to discover devices that can be connected to.
To speed up the process of discovering devices the users should click the button on both devices. When the process is finished, it shows the found devices. See the images below
Tap the found device to which the users want to connect. See the images below
It shows the invitation for connecting on the other device. The users can cancel the connecting by tapping the "Connecting" text.
Tap the "Connect" button to accept the invitation. When the connecting is finished, it shows the "Ready for chat" status on both devices. Please see the images below
The users now can enter message in one of two devices and click the "Send" button to send the message to the other device. Please see image below.
If the connecting for chat is failed, it often happens the case that the Client device has the "Not ready for chat" status and the Host device is still running. Please see the image below.
If this case happens, just click the "Retry" button on the Client device. Two devices should be ready for chat afterwards. The users can disconnect the Wifi Direct by tapping the status text "Connected". It will show a confirmation for disconnecting the Wifi Direct.
If two devices were already connected via the Wifi Direct before opening the feature, the two devices will automatically be connected for chat. If the connecting is failed in this case, the users can use the above failure-fixing step.
The users can add the passwords on the first device to the password list on the second device by tapping the "Synchronize" button in the Wifi-Direct page. For a demonstration we have two devices with the two simple password lists as below
In the Wifi-Direct page on the first device the users tap the "Synchronize" button. It shows a message for the confirmation of synchronizing the passwords. Please see the image below
By accepting the confirmation the synchronization process starts. When the process is finished, the second device receives the passwords of the first device. Please see the image below
Note that the synchronization process only adds the passwords, that are not in the second device, to the second device. Thus if the users tap the "Synchronize" button again, the second device will no longer receive the passwords from the first device.
