Advanced Group - My Viet World View

Proficiency Level: Intermediate High & Advanced (Low/Mid/High)

In the Fall 2024, Vietnamese Language Table for Advanced group will open the Theme "Mỹ Việt World View/My Viet World View". After the meetings and  activities , students can create their Media Product in Vietnamese to share their point of view in Vietnamese with friends in the group. There will be an option for everyone to choose to collaborate with cô Thúy Anh to create a Podcast Episode in  the Viet Podcast Silver Table (Bàn Bạc) and share with the Advanced group/Vietnamese Language Table in Viet Podcast.

Welcome back to Vietnamese Language Table in the Fall 2022. Bàn Tròn Tiếng Việt is back in September. We had the kick-off meeting on September 18, 2022.

In Spring 2022, the Advanced Group met in February, March and April. Complete this form if you are interested in the future meetings for advanced group: https://forms.gle/WTjL2iu9Bp4eET2X9     

The first meeting: @8:00 pm (EST) on February 15, 2022 via Zoom Students from two groups are welcome to join. 

The first half:  will be introduction, small group discussions, and we will hold a Đêm thơ Nguyên Tiêu (The Poetry Night on the First Full Moon of the Year). Please bring your poems to share. The details of the first meeting will be sent via email with the Zoom link on Monday, February 14, 2022. 

The second meeting: @ 3:00 pm (EST) on March 12, 2022 via Zoom. 

The first half will be introduction and we will have a Book/Movie Review (Điểm sách/ Phim). Here is the Phim hoạt hình that everyone will view before the meeting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx0Cw4NjV1Y . We will work in groups to come up with your group interpretation and review. Everyone can share a favorite movie or book as well. 

The second half will be small group speaking and discussion activities. Topic: Media and education

The third meeting: 3 pm (EST) on April 9, 2022 via Zoom. 

The first half will be introduction and share pictures and news. Everyone will bring a picture or an article/news to share. We will work in groups to come up with your group interpretation of the pictures. Everyone can share a the news. 

The second half will be small group speaking and discussion activities: Topic on transportation. Choose one picture and describe to your friends in breakout room
