Amy B made script edits!

During training for Saturdays Chair in May, Greg expressed confusion about which parts to read and asked for the script to be more clear "like a film script."  I was on Greg's first meeting as chair and could tellwhat parts of the script gave him trouble. With intent to support new chairs when full of first-time nervousness, I made clarifying edits to the script. I made simple additions so that a new chair would understand when they are to be reading and when to share the reading with the group. I also indicated which parts of the script could be supported and shared by a tech host, should one be on the meeting to support the Chair Person. I will announce this action at the next meeting  (Saturday 9 May 2026 and call for a GC to adopt the edits, revert or continue revising/simplifying the readability of the script, if the group sees the need.

5. How does One Share At a Time train hosts?

   4. AMY co host is not really a trainable position. Host is more life a thirty min or an hour to train

7. DISCUSS: What to think about or adjust if/when an addict who is a minor comes into the room:

   1. Christi Are there specific meetings for teens

   2. EMC I saw a 10 year old at a meeting - googled and saw there is no age limit on attending recovery meeting

   3. MICHAEL shared a document to discuss the ramifications and special circumstances including legal obligations. the service member needs guidance. He will submit the document to the Conference in June. This is a special class of people.

   4. AMY I have been to alanon and now about alateen

   5. JOHN J tempest in a teacup can get really large - been in meetings for awhile and Tradition 3 says we belong if we want to quit

   6. CRISTY Minors are exposed to a lot Let's not insult their intelligence

   7. ALEX Want to err of the side of caution - If it happens add them to a breakout room and support them with docs and links becaue we are not trained

   8. CRISTY Wondered what it does when we share about harming others, Gratitude for Michaels diligence because kids do do drugs but wonder at how 

   9. KY tricky subject. We come to recover. We are not here to figure out this . Ask teen to have trusting adult with them

   10. CHRISTI Not all teens have a trusted adult. my Sons friend was court ordered. Alateen is

   11. JOHN J we do more harm than good when we shield them and isolate them. Having a trusted adult goes against tradition of anonymity

   12. MICHAEL I agree that it has not reached a problem but it takes one instance. That is why it needs to be discussed natonally, not in a meeting by meeting. Another meeting had a regular attendee who was a minor and gave service. The most recent visit in One Share was at end of meeting and not super dangerous but this needs to hammrerd out so we an have some guidance because we don't have any....

   14. JOHN J For who thinks that we should have special regulations "what extra safety rules that we follow that protects us all is not sufficient to also protect a minr

   15. LANISHA: I think the issue is on the Mandatory Reporting

   1. Amy laid out the intrusion years ago that led to our security idea of the auto responder that made a lot of trouble when we were transitioning to D27.

   2. The auto responder is no longer useful. Do we need security in another way?

   3. Do we add another position? - "bouncer" Jay - need another position...

   5.  Ann asked  about details of how to  do these actions "what is a tech host?"

   6. Lanitia also discussed the option of meeting being in a breakout room for safety - Would need another person each meeting!

Howdy, one share/MA Vienna!

Following up here after the group conscience/business meeting topics :

1. I have sent a WhatsApp message to Phil C. Trying to get to the bottom of the auto responder misfires that are happening. I am wondering if it’s best to simply shut down the auto responder? Some people seem to come in contact with it while others directly link into the Saturday morning meeting without having to put in their email address or enter a password… It’s hard to piece it all together, but we are experiencing progress.

1.  I found the time to edit the script as promised. Thank you Mickie for giving me editing access.

2.  We did have a business meeting on May 6, but lapsed on the notetaking. As I recall, we voted on the agendas for the DSC  big annual meeting. All agendas passed.

3. I attended the Saturday meeting, 14 June 2025 and reminded all of the new business meeting process. We do not currently have someone lined up to chair July  Saturday meetings. I will check in with Alex John about how Tuesday attendance, chairing lineup and business meeting agendas are going.

4. I wonder who has access to edit the google site. I propose a regular Tuesday service provider is granted access, so we build the habit of posting business items here. 

5. Is every chairperson/host using the site as the spring-board for a meeting?

6. I initiated the setup of the Business Meeting page to have the most recent update on top.
