Following is the list of students participated or presented in competitions, seminars or other events organized outside the institutions.
2025-2026:
Soumyajit Chakrabarti (UG2) and Anik Dey (UG2) participated in Initiation into Mathematics 2025 programme of MTTS organised at the University of North Bengal from 13th to 18th October, 2025.
Suraj Pandit (UG3) and Soujato Dinda (UG2) presented papers titled "Image Compression Using Singular Value Decomposition" and "Mathematical Visualization of Series: Generating Patterns with a Focus on Cesàro Means", respectively at the International Conference on Applied Mathematics and Data Science (ICAMDS 26) on 27th February, 2026.
Soujato Dinda (UG2) presented a paper titled "Mathematical Visualization of Series: Generating Patterns with a Focus on Cesàro Means" at the conference, Advances in Mathematical Sciences and Its Interdisciplinary Applications (AMSIA-2026).
Rouhin Saha (UG2), Anik Dey (UG2), Soujato Dinda (UG2), Swastik Sar (UG2) and Soumyajit Chakrabarti (UG2) participated in "LIMIT" organized by ISI Bangalore on 10th January and ranked 2, 4, 7, 7 and 11 respectively.
Sourish Dey (UG3) and Shankhadeep Maji (UG3), as a team, secured 1st and 2nd positions in Mathematical Charade and The Cipher Quest: Decode and Derive, respectively at INFINITY 2026 (Annual fest of the Department of Mathematics), Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur.
Soumya Ray (UG3) and Suraj Pandit (UG3) presented (as a team) on "The Architecture of Image Compression" and Pritam Kumar Roy (UG3) presented on "Cryptography: The Art of Secrecy" in Poster Presentation, INFINITY 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur. Besides these, other partcipations were of Mayukh Patra (UG3) and Aditya Shankar Panigrahi (UG3) (as a team), Shantanu Sikdar (UG3) and Suman Singh (UG3) (as a team) in Mathematical Charade.
Chinmay Mahato (UG2) and Anik Dey (UG2) presented on the title "A Non-Standard "Intuitionistic" Derivation of the PDF of Normal Distribution", as a team and achieved 3rd prize in Oratoria (Paper Presentation Competition), INFERENCIA 2026 (Annual fest of the Department of Statistics), Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur.
Soujato Dinda (UG2), Anargha Sarkar (UG2) and Soumyajit Chakrabarti (UG2) presented on the title "Least Squares Approximation and The Theory of Linear Regression", as a team, in Oratoria, INFERENCIA 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur.
Soujato Dinda (UG2), Anik Dey (UG2) and Chinmay Mahato (UG2) participated as a team in Stochast-O-Liga (Quiz), and Subhrajyoti Maity (UG2) and Anurag Goswami (UG2) participated in Iso-Metrics (Photography competition) showing off their compositions on the theme 'Contrast' in INFERENCIA 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur.
2024-2025:
Ananya Sen (UG3), Sombit Mazumder (UG3) and Sanket Dutta (UG3) participated and achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively in the annual inter - college/university fest, Perceptron - 2024 of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Education and Research Institute (RKMVERI) in the section "Enigma Quest, Puzzle Solving" on 10th January, 2025.
Shankhadeep Maji (UG2), Sourish Dey (UG2) and Aditya Roy (UG2) participated in "LIMIT" organized by ISI Bangalore on 19th January and ranked 25, 34 and 83 respectively.
Soumyajit Chakrabarti(UG1), Soujato Dinda(UG1), Anik Dey(UG1), Shankhadeep Maji(UG2) - Bronze Honour at International Youth Mathematics Competition 2025.
Arnab Sarkar (PG2) presented a talk on "Adjacency spectra of subdivision-vertex-Q-vertex join of two regular graphs" at a National Conference on Recent Trends in Mathematics and its Applications (RTMA-2025) April 4-5, 2025 at Bidhan Chandra College, Asansol.
Pritam Kumar Roy (UG2) and Aditya Sankar Panigrahi (UG2) secured 1st position in the inter college Poster presentation competition at Vidyasagar college, Kolkata on 5th April, 2025.
Sombit Mazumder (UG3) and Shankhadeep Maji (UG2) achieved 1st position in Quiz Mania, Sombit Mazumder (UG3) and Sourish Dey (UG2) achieved 3rd position in Mathematical Charades, Soujato Dinda (UG1) and Anik Dey (UG1) achieved 2nd position in Poster Presentation, Sanket Dutta (UG3) acheived 1st position in Eval-A-Thon in INFINITY 2025 organized by Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur on 9th April.
Arijit Dey (PG2) presented a talk on "A Construction of Simultaneous Cospectral Graphs using T-Vertex-Join" at a National Conference on Recent Advances in Pure, Industrial and Applied Mathematics Driven by AI and ML (RAPIAM-2025) June 5-6, 2025 at JSPM University, Pune.
15 students of UG2 and 4 students of UG1 participated Madhava Mathematics Competition and Sourish Dey (UG2), Aditya Roy (UG2), Rouhin Saha (UG1) selected for Madhava Nurture Camp.
2023-2024:
Paraj Mukherjee (UG3) - Delivered a talk at 9th International Conference on Mathematics and Computation in Music on the title - Euclidean Rhythm with Palindromic Rests on 18 June, 4:30 pm local time, Theatre Paulo Quintela (Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra).
Sombit Mazumder (UG2) and Richik Samanta (UG2) - 2nd Prize Quiz Competition at Infinity-2024 in RKMRC Narendrapur.
Paraj Mukherjee (UG3) - 1st Prize in Presentation Competetion at Infinity-2024 in RKMRC Narendrapur.
7 students of UG3 participated in Simon Marais-2023 mathematics examinations.
Sanket Dutta(UG2) and Arindam Mitra(UG3) - Silver Honour at International Youth Mathematics Competition 2023.
