Sun Soul Engineering ("we," "our," or "us") operates the VidNest – Video Downloader mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

By using VidNest, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

2.1 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically, including:

• Device or Advertising ID – A unique identifier assigned to your device, used for serving personalized ads and analytics.

• App usage data – Information about how you interact with the App, including features used, session duration, and in-app actions.

• Crash logs and diagnostics – Error reports, crash data, and performance metrics to help us improve app stability.

• Device information – Device model, operating system version, language settings, and network type.

• IP address – Used to infer approximate geographic region for ad targeting and analytics.

2.2 Information You Provide

VidNest does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the core features of the App.

2.3 Subscription Information

If you choose to subscribe to VidNest Pro to remove ads and access premium features, the payment is processed entirely by the Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We may receive confirmation of your subscription status from Google Play.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To operate and improve the App and its features.

• To display advertisements through our ad network partners (Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Vungle, AppLovin, Liftoff, Pangle).

• To send push notifications about app updates, new features, or important announcements (via Firebase Cloud Messaging).

• To analyze usage patterns and improve user experience (via Firebase Analytics).

• To detect, diagnose, and fix bugs and crashes (via Firebase Crashlytics).

• To manage and verify your Pro subscription status.

• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Advertising

VidNest displays advertisements to support our free service. We work with the following advertising partners:

• Google AdMob

• Meta Audience Network

• Vungle (Liftoff)

• AppLovin

• Pangle

These partners may use your Advertising ID and other data to serve you personalized ads based on your interests. Ad types displayed include banner ads, native ads, interstitial ads, and app open ads.

If you are an Android 13+ user, we declare the AD_ID permission in our app as required by Google Play policy. You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

• Go to Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID (Android 12+), or

• Go to Settings > Privacy > Ads (older Android versions).

5. Firebase Services

We use the following Firebase services provided by Google LLC:

Firebase Analytics

Collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how users interact with the App. Data is retained according to Google's data retention policies.

Firebase Crashlytics

Collects crash reports and diagnostic data automatically when the App encounters an error. This data is used solely to improve app stability.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

Used to send push notifications to your device. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

6. App Permissions

VidNest requests the following permissions on your device:

• INTERNET – Required to load and download videos from public URLs.

• READ/WRITE EXTERNAL STORAGE – Required to save downloaded videos to your device storage.

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS – Required to send you download progress and completion notifications.

• AD_ID – Required to serve advertisements (Android 13+).

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Advertising partners (listed in Section 4) for the purpose of ad delivery and measurement.

• Firebase/Google for analytics, crash reporting, and push notification services.

• Google Play for subscription management and verification.

• Law enforcement or regulatory authorities if required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy:

• Crash logs are retained for up to 90 days via Firebase Crashlytics.

• Analytics data is retained according to your Firebase project settings (default: 2 months for user-level data, 14 months for event data).

• Advertising identifiers are used in real-time for ad delivery and retained by ad partners per their policies.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

For EU/EEA users (GDPR):

• Right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

• Right to object to or restrict processing.

• Right to data portability.

• Right to withdraw consent at any time.

For California users (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used.

• Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

10. Children's Privacy

VidNest is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at publisher@sunsouleng.com and we will take steps to delete that information.

11. Content Downloaded by Users

VidNest allows users to download publicly available videos from third-party platforms (excluding YouTube). We do not host, store, or have access to the videos you download. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you download complies with the terms of service of the source platform and applicable copyright laws.

We do not endorse the downloading of copyrighted content without permission from the rights holder.

12. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data transmitted between the App and our service providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may access third-party websites or services (e.g., video platforms) to facilitate downloads. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before using their services.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
