OVERVIEW
Loop Studio does not require an account, and we do not sell personal information. You pick a video from your library, practise A–B sections of it (speed, mirror, frame step), and can make a new repeat, boomerang or reverse video from a section. Your clips and sections are kept in the app's storage on your device. The app also uses Google services and an advertising mediation partner for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and advertising.
PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
The app does not use the camera or the microphone. When you tap to add a clip, the system video picker opens and only the video you choose is given to the app; the app does not browse the rest of your library. A copy of that video is moved into the app's own folder so it keeps playing after the picker's temporary file is gone. Videos are processed on your device; the app does not upload them.
When you save a loop video you made, or a frame you capture in the Player, the app asks for permission to add it to your photo library (on iOS this is add-only access). If you decline, nothing is saved to your library and the rest of the app keeps working. Sharing a video only happens when you tap Share and choose a destination in the system share sheet.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
For each clip in the Library the app keeps the app's copy of the video, the original file name, a display name you can change (up to 40 characters), its length, frame size and rotation, the dates it was added and last opened, a favourite flag, and its saved sections (name, A and B times, date created). There is no fixed limit on the number of clips or sections. The app also keeps your player and export preferences, and a list of deleted clip and section IDs with their deletion times (kept without a limit so that an older backup cannot silently bring deleted sections back).
Thumbnails of your clips are kept in the app's cache; the app does not delete them itself (the system may clear the cache). Preview renders and frame data used while making a video are temporary files in the app's cache. Renders and frame data are cleared after you finish, when you cancel, and at the next launch. Finished videos are limited to 60 seconds, made from up to 3 minutes of source video, with up to 10 repeats.
The app may also store basic operating information such as cached advertising settings and a cached More Apps list. If stored data cannot be read, the app keeps a copy of the unreadable text aside instead of deleting it.
The developer does not run a server that receives your clips or sections. The app reads developer-controlled advertising settings and a More Apps list from Google Cloud Firestore, but it does not upload your clips, sections or videos. When you open More Apps, app icons are loaded from the web addresses in that list.
ANALYTICS, CRASH REPORTING, AND ADS
Google Firebase Analytics may process limited app-usage and technical information, such as app launches, screen views, menu actions, review-prompt outcomes, ad revenue events, on iOS whether the tracking prompt was shown (with the tracking and consent status at that time), app version, device type, and app-instance identifiers. When you work with clips, events record that a clip was added (and whether it was already in the Library) or opened (with its number of sections), a section was saved, a playlist started (with the number of sections), a frame was saved, sections were backed up or restored (with the number restored), or a video was made, saved or shared. A finished video event includes the type (repeat, boomerang or reverse), number of repeats, speed, size and whether sound was kept; a failed one includes an error code. These events do not include clip names, file names, section names or the videos themselves.
Google Firebase Crashlytics may process crash reports and related technical information needed to diagnose app problems.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may also request ads from the InMobi mediation network. Google and InMobi may process advertising identifiers and device, app, consent, network, and ad-performance information to provide and measure ads, and may use an IP address to estimate an approximate location even though the app has no location permission.
PERMISSIONS AND ADVERTISING CHOICES
The only feature permission the app requests is adding items to your photo library, as described above. It does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, Bluetooth, health data, or notifications.
When the app starts, Google's consent message (UMP) is checked first. Where it is required (for example in the EEA and UK), personalized advertising stays off unless your choice allows it. On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown only after that step and only if you have not answered it before; it is normally skipped when you have declined personalized ads in Google's consent message where EU-style consent rules apply (such as the EEA and UK), but it may still appear if the app cannot read the result of that message. If tracking is not allowed, the IDFA is not available to the app or its ad partners. If the consent message cannot be loaded, the app still requests non-personalized ads, the iOS tracking prompt may still appear, and personalized advertising stays off. The app works whatever you choose.
You can change iOS tracking permission in Settings. Where Google requires it, the app menu shows "Privacy choices", which reopens the consent message so you can change your advertising choice.
STORAGE AND YOUR CONTROL
You can delete a section in the Player, and remove a clip in the Library (this removes the app's copy of the video and its sections; the original in your library, videos and frames you already saved to your photo library, and the clip's thumbnails in the app's cache stay). You can also clear the app's data on Android or delete the app. Local data may be included in an Apple, Google, or device backup depending on your backup settings; uninstalling normally removes the active copy but may not remove an older backup.
"Back up sections" in the Library creates a file with your sections (name, A and B times, date created), the file name, display name and length of each clip that has sections, and the deleted-ID list (never the videos). The app writes it to its cache, where it is removed no later than the next launch, and hands it to the system share sheet; where you send or save it is your choice, and the app does not delete copies kept elsewhere. "Restore sections" reads a backup file you pick.
Because we do not receive your clips or sections, we cannot delete them for you; the controls above remove them from the app. For questions about data processed by Google or InMobi, or to ask us for help with a privacy request, contact us at the address below.
Data processed by third parties is retained according to their service settings and policies. We use these services under their applicable terms, and we ensure that third-party service providers with whom we share user data provide the same or equal protection of that data as stated in this policy.

SECURITY
Your clips and sections are kept in the app's private storage on your device, which the operating system protects from other apps; they are not separately encrypted by the app, so protect your device with a passcode. Apart from the limited analytics events described above, the app does not upload your saved data. Communication between the app and Google services and the ad mediation partner uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit what the app collects to what is described in this policy.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Only use and share videos you have the right to use. Made videos are new files encoded on your device; their quality, frame timing and sound can differ from the original, and sound is kept only at normal speed.
CHILDREN
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
CHANGES
We may update this policy if the app or its services change. The date above shows the latest revision.
